a German heavy-metal band
~ OK, a bit of a stretch,
I gotta admit,

anyway,
i got a couple of great emails
from Modular
which mentioned,
among other things,
that david hasselhof
succeeded in germany as a singer.
the name probably gave him
a bit of a leg up,
of course,
but that’s pretty good.
and I guess the point is that
rammstein can have some success
in the usa
notwithstanding the fact that
they put a fucking u-boat
on the cover of their last album.
what do they call that?
irony?
well, anyway, you see what I mean.
where was I?
oh yeah,
Modular mentioned that
david lynch used Rammstein music
in some of his movies,
so i went and rented “lost highway.”
it was a friday night and all,
so i dragged the TV out on the patio,
popped a beer open,
fired up a cigar,
and sat back to see what it was all about.
damn, it is a strange movie!
maybe was the cigar,
but I was sweating so much that
i had to take my coat off.
that night,
i didn’t sleep a wink
